Logan is 3!

Just typing that title makes me get this slightly uneasy feeling in my stomach. He is truly growing up before my eyes and changing so much these days. I know my post is long overdue since his birthday was nearly 2 weeks ago. We have been enjoying the summer and staying very busy. But I want to spend some time talking about where he is at in this moment of time because all too soon he will be changing again. I want to remember him forever at this age and in this moment. Logan was never considered a sweet baby, now of course he was sweet as all babies are, but that was not the first adjective to come to mind for him as baby. However as a 3 year old this personality of his is truly coming to life. He has become incredibly sweet these days and really taking on the leader role. I can tell he will be a rule follower and cautious. He likes to ensure others are ok and loves to be around his buddies laughing with them. He is very gentle with babies and is still very attached to Mommy but looks up to Daddy. He is a puzzle wiz. He is really looking forward to starting preschool in September and is quickly getting over the fact that Mommy won't be there. He is just too excited! I just can't get over the maturity I have seen in him lately. Now on the flipside as there always is, he has begun a new challenge for Jeremy and I of back talk. Oh yes the joys of discipline are in full swing. From the day he turned 3 it was like he was teenager all of sudden and I could tell that if I didn't curb this quickly we were in for it. Of course these outbursts are not happening all the time but when they do . . . watch out! My little 3 year old is no longer that little and I am a bit sad. I am grateful though that he still loves to be held and snuggle with Mom and if he can be by my side playing, doing puzzles etc., he is happy. I know the day will come when he'd rather not be by my side (all the time) so I welcome his arms around my legs a little while longer ;) On his Birthday he wanted to go to the park and the pool after swim lessons. Daddy came home early and took him to see Ice Age at the theater and then they came home and we ate Mac and Cheese (his fav) and cake. We opened presents and played outside for a bit. It was a good day. We had his little party this past weekend so I will update on that later.
Checking out his new bike!
His grand entrance!
He figured out the bike right away and he has been on the go with it ever since.
