December Vacation Part 1

The week before Christmas we took a 4 night Vacation as a family. We stayed the first two nights at a working ranch that was about 30 min from the west rim of the Grand Canyon. We stayed in a cabin with a loft that the boys got to stay in. It was a ton of fun to "rough" it for 2 nights. the boys had an absolute blast checking out all the animals and playing outside. This part of our vaca was the perfect yin to the yang of the second part.

Logan mustered up the courage to go talk to one of the cowboys and ask him to show Logan how to rope. I was proud of him.

They had a campfire for us the first night and this man kept us entertained with his singing and s'mores

The boys got to ride a horse around the ranch and they even showed them how to ride all by themselves (for a short period :) )i am pretty sure this was one of the highlights of this part of the trip
