Just a Normal Day!

This morning we were doing our normal activities but this time I got them on video. Oh how my little man likes to move. He is getting better with tummy time and he is very alert and active ALL DAY! Not much free time for Mommy but that is ok with me!

Logan is 2 Months Old!

This past Thursday, September 24th, Logan turned 2 months old! He is getting so big and is incredibly active. Things are getting easier for Mommy to manage and Logan and I have gotten into a pretty good routine. Although we all know who's boss . . . Logan! Little babies sure know how to throw the routine off when they want. :)

Some of the things he is doing now:

* Most mornings he wakes up very happy and all smiles. It is the best way for a Mommy and Daddy to wake up to their little one smiling at you! The day can't be bad. :)

* He loves when we sing to him and is very playful.

* He is a muscle man! He would stand (with us holding him of course) all day if he could. He absolutely loves to be on his feet.

* He still loves to be held and doesn't give Mommy much of a break during the day. Thank goodness for Baby Bjorns and slings.

* He is sleeping about 3 hours at a time at this point. He'll get there slowly but surely.

He also had his 2 month check-up on Tuesday. He had to get his first set of shots but he did great. He cried like crazy for about 10 seconds and was asleep before we left the dr's office. I think it was harder on Mommy and Daddy than him. Jeremy had to see him because he felt so bad for him so we went to Daddy's work for lunch.

He was also measured and here are his stats:

Weight: 14lbs 1oz - 94%

Height: 24.8 in. - 97%

Head Circumference: 40.6cm - 68%

And so at 2 months old he is in nearly all 6 month clothes and above. His torso is very long!

Just Too Cute!

Logan was just too cute napping! It has been pretty hot here so he has been sporting just his diaper during many of the days this past week. Thankfully he had no problem taking a nap.

Wildcat Weekend!

This weekend K-State played UCLA at UCLA!!!! So of course we had to go! The night before the game we went over to our friends', Sami and Julie's for a pre-tailgate K-State party. We had to get our first picture with Payton, Maya, and Logan. Future Wildcats! The next day we headed to Pasadena to tailgate all day and go to the game. It was incredibly hot. Thank God we had tents. Logan did well but slept a lot of the day Sunday! Ithink purple is ingrained in him thanks to Saturday. There were about 200 K-Staters at our tailgate alone. Quite the representation I'd say. We had a great day and although K-State lost it was still a ton of fun!

He may be getting older but he can still hang with the best of them (a little)!

Jeremy Earns His Gold Hard Hat!

Last night we attended a banquet called "Old Timers" for Hensel Phelps Construction Company to honor those who have reached milestones within the company. It was a fun evening aboard the Queen Mary where we got to stay as a guest for the night. Those who have been working for HP for 5 years are inducted into the "Old Timers" club and are given a Gold Hard Hat to wear signifying their time with the company. Jeremy was part of the group inducted and therefore went through the traditional roasting of new inductees. It was really neat to see him receive this honor and Logan and I are very proud of him!

The Queen Mary! It is a great passenger ship that transported people across the Atlantic during the 1930's and was also used during the Wars. It was purchased from Britain by the City of Long Beach and has been converted to a Hotel. It was really neat to be on such a huge historical ship that they say is also haunted!

Logan all dressed up!

Logan is 6 Weeks Old

After bath time all bundled up.
He's getting so big!

Watching his mobile go! What FUN!

Logan was 6 weeks old Friday, September 4th. He is sleeping in his crib as of this weekend! Yay!He is also loving to look at the colors and characters in his play gym and the mobile in his crib. I think we are starting to get an idea of his personality. He is very mellow and laid back most of the time, unless of course he is hungry! He also likes to be awake as much as possible and often tries to sleep with one eye open. I guess he thinks he'll miss out on something. He is really a very happy baby and is becoming much more interactive. He still loves being held and and has to be constantly moving as he is taking it all in. You can really see him soaking everything up as he looks at new things. Finally as of this weekend, he has been mimicking Jeremy and I when we stick our tongue out or he just gives us a big smile when we are talking to him. I am still trying to catch one with the camera.

This was captured this morning. Like I said earlier, it is so awesome to see what he does new each day. Today he was loving life and his play gym!

Just Hangin' Out With Logan

Here is a clip of Logan just talking to Mommy. I can't believe what a week can do for development. One of my favorite things each day is to wake up and see what new things he doing (or saying). The great thing about that is that we will get to do that for the rest of his life!
