Thanksgiving Weekend Fun

Our Thanksgiving was very low key this year which was fine by us. We spent the weekend doing lots of leisurely family things, watching movies, going to breakfast, parks, Partyopolis (a jump house place), walks, and starting the Christmas season off with a gingerbread house and Frosty our Elf! It was a wonderful long weekend!
Meet Frosty!!! He arrived at our house about a week ago and we have been so excited to have him here. Logan named him and has been having a blast finding him in his new location every morning. You see Frosty heads to the North Pole every evening to report whether the boys have been naughty or nice that day to Santa. He then returns to a new location in the house the next morning. When Logan does something he shouldn't and I am disciplining him, he says "Frosty don't do that". To him that means that was naughty and I shouldn't do that because Frosty might tell Santa. ;)

Fun times at Partyopolis!

Girls Night Out

A few weeks ago I had a GNO with some good friends and we had a great time. Instead of doing our usual dinner, we decided to do something different. We went to "The Wine Artist" and were get to learn how to cook some fabulous dishes as well as Sangria, all while enjoying a few bottles of wine and some great company. After cooking we got to enjoy our masterpieces and the real reason for celebrating which was our friend Karen's upcoming wedding.

Cooking away!

Feeling So Thankful!

Tonight I am feeling so thankful for so many things in my life. I have been blessed beyond worth to have an amazing husband and two beautiful boys to spend my life with. I have my family and friends to be surrounded and supported by. And we all have our health to be so grateful for. Over this month I have been talking to Logan about Thanksgiving and how we always need to be Thankful for what we HAVE in our lives. He is obviously a little young to fully comprehend but it truly warms my heart to hear him say (sometimes even before I ask) "Mommy, I thankful for Daddy, Mommy, Jordy, Grandma, Papa . . ." and he will go on and on if you keep asking him.

Throughout the month I wanted to jot down some of the random things I am thankful for but I never got around to doing it until now so I am sure I will forget many of them but here goes.

Thankful For . . .

*My wonderful husband who works so hard for our family
*My beautiful parents who have been by my side my entire life and who I hope I am like someday.
*My friends (old and new) who bring me comfort, perspective, and humor.
*My camera and computer that I am able to document my family with.
*My back patio that has given us more space and the ability for me to let my kids be outside as much as they and I want
*Skype . . . I don't think I could make it without it
*Having the best in-laws in the world
*Being able to stay home and raise my boys
*TLC my favorite channel when I get a chance to watch it
*Ice Cream ;)
*Nap time . . .When it happens ;)
*Candles. I LOVE having a home that smells warm and cozy
*Comfy clothes. One of the perks of working from home :)
*My health and my family and friends' health
*Seeing my boys make each other laugh and hug each other
*Being outside in November without coats
*To have two beautiful, healthy boys who are most definitely the light of our lives

Jordy's 1st Haircut!

This weekend Jordy got his first haircut! He did great and hardly complained at all. In this post I shared a few of the last pre-haircut pics that I took of him. It is amazing how much a haircut can change a person. He looks like such a big boy now. I can't get over it. I am feeling like I have two little boys and not a baby. Guess that means it's time for another. Hehe! Not quite yet everyone.

Playing in the laundry is so fun

I just love this picture with his crooked little smile

The other day I could hear him near the stairs as I was putting laundry away. I came to check on him and he was having a great time watching, of course, the trash man. My boys' other hero besides Daddy.

Last pic before the big cut!

All that hair gone! So sad :( But isn't he handsome!

I just loved this picture and couldn't leave it out. He was having so much fun!

Jordy is 1!

Our little Jordy is officially 1 and he is quite the character. I am still getting adjusted to this new little man that we are living with. :) He is truly coming out of his shell with his personality. I am pretty sure he thinks he is way older than he really is and all this has just come on in the last month.

Some things he is doing now:
* He is trying to walk and actually took his first step today
* He still LOVES to scream
* He LOVES to do whatever Logan does
* He is such a climber
* Wearing 18-24 month clothes
* Says Dadda and Momma and "Uh Oh" and "All done"
* He is very fiery when something doesn't go his way. My mellow little guy is no longer.
* All of a sudden when he turned 1 he decided he wanted to be rocked again. He hasn't wanted to be rocked for like 5 months and now we are on day 4 of rocking again before bed. And Mommy is just fine with that.

I will post his stats this week after his appt.

Jordy, you are our sweet little boy and we have had such a wonderful year getting to know you. We love YOU so much! Happy Birthday Baby!

Grandma and Papa Wright Visit

Grandma Cindy and Papa Bert came to visit this past weekend for Jordy's Birthday. We had a wonderful weekend and did lots of fun stuff with the boys. Logan and Jordy LOVED having them here and of course so did Jeremy and I!

Papa Bert helping Jordy with his car at Pretend City

Fishing is always a hit at PC and especially with Papa!

Saturday morning we headed to San Juan Capistrano to Zoomars. It is a beautiful old part of Orange County and there is lots to see and do.

Mommy and her Birthday Boy

Logan loved feeding and petting the animals but wasn't too interested in holding them this year>

And Jordy was enjoying it all. I didn't let him get too close to the animals because petting turned into ripping out their fur. Poor animals :(

My little 1 year old!

Horse riding is serious business!

The corn box was a big hit with both boys

G and P riding the train with the boys. They both LOVED it!

Later that afternoon we carved pumpkins or should I say Jeremy carved pumpkins and we cheered him on!

Our final products! Not too shabby :)

Sunday was Jordy's actual Birthday and we kept things pretty low key, just enjoying the day. He thoroughly enjoyed his grilled cheese (His favorite) and his "Robert Redford" dessert!

Getting ready to go T or T'ing! Logan did great and even made it through our whole neighborhood.

Neigh I am a Horse!

Apparently all this horse riding has gone to Logan's head. Last week I caught him giving Kenley a ride. She was having a blast and he was yelling Giddyup!
