Date Night with Sushi!

Last Sunday Jeremy and I got a night out with some of our friends. We went to a place called the "Wine Artist" where we were taught how to make sushi as well as drink as much wine and sangria as we wanted. Hmmmm sounds like a pretty fun night. Oh and as a side note . . .Most of the fish that we used was actually caught fresh by several of the guys including Jeremy who had just gotten back from a fishing trip. Pretty neat to get to actually use it in this class.
Listening to our teacher explain how to roll sushi.
Ann and Mel were in charge of the crab.
Cuyler was in charge of the cucumber salad
Jeremy getting ready to chop up some tuna
Mike, Ann, and Blaine working on their rolls
Jeremy and my masterpieces
And finally to top off the night, we cooked the Mahi Mahi that Damian had caught the day before. It was delicious and such a fun night with great people!

Summer Fun with Friends

With the end of the summer upon us, we have taken full advantage and stayed very busy with fun day trips with friends. I have absolutely loved getting all the kiddos together and of course it is always wonderful to spend the day with my friends as well. :) First stop . . . Zoomars Petting Zoo
Jordy checking out the bunny
Logan, Maya, and Ty holding the guinea pigs
Seriously look at these too . . . All I can say is "This poor guinea pig"
Having so much fun!
The kids loved the corn box and so did Michelle :)
We always have to ride the horses when we go to Zoomars

Next we were on to the Santa Ana Zoo which is a very small zoo but perfect for little ones.
How cute is this group!
One morning we helped Michelle with a lemonade stand to raise money for the 3 day walk that we are doing in November. It was fun to help and get the kids involved at the same time.
Trying to get the firemen to stop . . .and of course they did!! The kids loved it!
Next was a day at Pretend City which my boys always love. It's even better with friends!
Logan and Ty, and Jordy and Kenley trying out the new firetruck they just added.
They really enjoyed the dentist office . . .Not where you would have found me but hey hopefully their love for the dentist sticks. Kind of doubt it :)

Color Me Rad

My good friend Melissa and I decided to do the "Color Me Rad" Run in San Diego last weekend. She had NEVER run a race before so it was fun to get to be the first person to do one with. She did AWESOME and we had a blast. I will definitely do another color run soon. They are too fun!
Before the run
Mel . . . I love this picture of you! :)
And After!

Swimming Lessons

Logan has been taking swimming lessons everyday for the past month. This is his first time taking them and he is doing great. He just passed level 1 tonight and is moving on to Level 2 for the next two weeks. Way to go Logan!! Mom and Dad are very proud of you!
Jordy is just itching to participate! I can see how hard this is going to be for little Jordy who wants to do everything big brother is doing :(

Logan's Birthday Party

A couple weekends ago we had Logan's Birthday Party at a local park with a few of our and his close friends. It was a nice low-key simple "Pirate" themed party and everyone had a great time!
The Birthday Boy cruising on his new bike
Logan and Kenley . . .Such good buddies!
Ty and Mike checking out the treasure hunt that the kids had to do to get their goodie bag

LegoLand

A couple weekends ago we took a little family trip down to Carlsbad to go Legoland. It was kind of a continued celebration for Logan's Birthday but also just nice family adventure. The boys did great and we all had a good time.
The first ride Logan and I went on was his first roller coaster and we even sat in the first row! He loved it! Yay, I now know I have partner for riding roller-coasters since it's not always Jeremy's thing.
Jeremy and LOgan in front of the Mini-land DC (All made of legos). There were Mini-lands for a lot of the major cities. It was really neat!
I loved that there were a lot of "other" activities to do besides standing in line waiting for rides. Especially with such little ones.
We also went to the aquarium that Legoland has and the boys really enjoyed it.
Touching sea urchins
Finishing off the adventure with a few more legos!
