Kansas City/Manhattan Trip

Our last trip of the summer has come and gone as I am in my last week of being able to travel while pregnant. We headed to Kansas City to see Jeremy's brother, Jon and his family and to go to the K-State/Missouri State Football game. Jon and Jeremy got to play some golf in their church's annual Golf Tournament on Friday while Katie and I had the boys all day at home. Jaxon and Logan are becoming good buddies and Jace will soon be playing in their mix a little more. We headed to Manhattan Saturday morning for the game. It was very bittersweet for me because it was the first time I had been back in 5 years and we were very limited on time. Unfortunately the volleyball team was out of town this weekend so I wasn't able to visit them but it was still so nice to be back on our old "stomping grounds" even if it was just for the day. The game was great and we really enjoyed being there. And it was a good win for our Cats!

Logan and Jaxon were inseperable most of the time.

And Logan and Jace managed to find the dishwasher. Those two love to get into everything!

Logan thoght he was Mr. Independent at the game and he wanted to go everywhere whether Mommy or Daddy were following or not.

The best family picture we could get. Logan just wasn't having it.

Pretend City

Last Friday, a friend of mine and I took our kids to this great place call Pretend City. It was so much fun because Logan actually had a blast exploring all the different things to do. It was basically a "Pretend City" built for little kids with a grocery store, restaurant, houses, cars fire station, beach, etc. We had a blast!

The day started out with some fun in his new cozy coupe from Grandma and Grandpa Wright. Notice the California license plate with his name on it. How cool is that!

The first thing he saw at Pretend City was the TRACTOR!

The end result . . .A 3 HOUR NAP!

Omaha Trip

The last weekend in August we took yet another trip. This time we headed back to Omaha to attend an Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet for Marian High School honoring my 2000 State Championship Basketball Team. The event itself was wonderful and too short. There is never enough time at things like this to fully catch up with people. And for me many of the people that were there are some of the most special and influential people of my life. So to say the least it is a night I will treasure. While we were in Omaha we also got to visit my Grandpa as well as go to my Aunt Ginny and Uncle Gary's cabin. We always have a great time there and it was fun to take Logan there for the first time. On the downside we missed getting to see my Dad as he was working in Souix City that weekend. Dad we wished you could have been there.
