Logan is 6 Months Old!

My little man turned 6 months old today! I can't believe it has already been a half a year! Where has the time gone? I know I keep saying it every month but time goes way to fast these days and I am sure I will continue to say it until he is 18. He has definitely turned from baby to little boy in Jeremy and my eyes.

Gentleman by Day, WILDMAN by Night!

He had his 6 month Check-up last week and he is doing fabulous in all areas.
Here are his stats:
Height : 27.3 in - 80%
Weight: 19 lbs - 78%
Head Circumference - 45.4 cm - 91%
So, although his weight in terms of percentile is the lowest it has ever been, he managed to gain over 3 lbs in 1 month! That's what formula will do for ya, right? :)

Some things he is doing right now:

  • Blowing Razzberries
  • Can sit all by himself
  • LOVES Peek-a boo and to interact and play games with anyone and everyone
  • Is sleeping through the night about once a week, otherwise still getting up once per night.
  • Is eating everthing in the "Second Stage of Baby Food" and is working on the sippy cup
  • He now reaches for the person he wants to hold him
  • He LOVES the cats and gets very excited when they come in the room
  • He gets on all fours but doesn't know what to do then and always ends up on his tummy
  • I don't think I have mentioned this before but since he was born he would make this weird sound as he was trying to go to sleep. Jeremy thinks it sounds like "Starting a car that won't turn over." And it does if you know what that sounds like. Anyways, he is still doing that and it has gotten louder.
  • He rolls over both ways but get's stuck on his tummy.
  • He LOVES bath time even more and I am even having to consider doing it in the morning because he gets very wound up from it no matter what I do.
  • He is teething . . .He has cut his bottom two teeth!
  • He is very very curious about everything and wants to reach and touch it all

Today we got him a walker to use downstairs. While we were in the store we decided to put him in the model one and see how he liked it. After a couple minutes he figure out that he could move all by himself and off he went with a huge smile on his face! OH NO did we make the wrong decision . . . No going back now . . . Just kidding! I am so excited to get it put together so he can start exploring life a little more independently!

My Newest Hobby!

As a kid I was always a bit crafty thanks to my Mom who usually helped me. And recently I have decided that I wanted to find something I could do that was crafty again as a hobby (You know with all my free time, ha!). Well I have decided that I am going to start making different baby items . . . Bibs, Burp Rags, Hooded Bath Towels, Blankets, Etc. And if the preliminary makings turn out I may start a website on Etsy.com and see how they do. We will see. But that is the idea. In the mean time I am just really enjoying this new hobby of mine. It is very therapeutic for me.

This is one of my first few creations. It is a K-State Hooded Baby Towel. It ended up being a great shower gift for my good friends, Ann and Mike who are from K-Stateand expecting in late March. They loved it! Yay!

So Close To Crawling (or some form of transportation!)

This past week I took a few pictures of Logan. I seemed to have "lost" the camera for a few days. I just realized I hadn't taken any in awhile so here they are for all you "Logan Deprived" (and yes you know who you are). He is becoming very interested in finding out how to get to that toy that is just out of reach. So stay tuned . . . It's coming soon.

SOOOOO HAPPY!

"Alright, here I go."

Unfortunately the next picture would have been the face plant! He's not scared to try though so it is only a matter of time.

Our Crazy Day!

Two Fridays ago, I got to watch our good friends' little girls Maya and Payton along with my usual little girl Delilah. Whew! What a day it was! Logan felt completely overwhelmed with all these girls in our house but we had a ton of fun none the less. Logan is the only one of the bunch that is not quite mobile which left me scrambling all day. Everyone seemed to head in their own direction. I think this picture was taken at the only time they were all in the same room together and that was at 3:00 in the afternoon! Anyways, Payton and I managed to build a fort, draw pictures, and read books with the other little ones. We had a great day but I can tell you one thing . . . I was pooped by the end of the day and so was Logan!

Delilah 11 1/2 months, Logan 5 1/2 months, Maya 12 months, Payton 3 years

Blowing Razzberries

Today Logan figured out how to blow razzberries and I was able to get him trying to copy me on video. I am sorry the the camera woman isn't that good. I guess she was just too occupied with her actor. Hope you enjoy! It's pretty funny :)

Logan's New Playroom

We have converted our guest room/computer room into a playroom/computer room for Logan and the little girl I watch. It is very exciting to have this space to play and to be on carpet! The main floor is all tile. I think we are going to have lots of fun in here!

Logan rolled completely over ALL BY HIMSELF today!

Logan LOVES his new highchair!

Oh and by the way Logan slep all night the other night 8:00pm - 6:00am!
Yay for Logan and for Mommy!

My New Way To Do Laundry

Today when I went to get the laundry out of the dryer, I had Logan with me as I do on most occasions. Since he can sit by himself I set him in the laundry basket and put all the laundry around him. He LOVED it as you can tell. When I got to the bedroom he didn't want to get out. So I guess I will be getting laundry this way for awhile!

Christmas in Kansas

We spent Christmas in Kansas City with the entire Wright family. Jon, Katie, Jaxon, and Jace, graciously hosted the holiday at their home. We had a great time and even got to have a "White Christmas!"

Logan is 5 Months Old!

Logan turned 5 Months old on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2009. I didn't get a chance to get my sign printed off but we did manage to get a picture of Logan sitting on his own for the first time! He is definitely turning into a little boy and I can hardly stand it!

Some things he is doing now:
  • Sitting all by himself
  • Eating all kinds of baby food (He loves everything so far)
  • Almost rolling over
  • He give the best hugs and kisses
  • Smiles all the time
  • Giggles when we are really funny
  • He has just started crying/talking in a very high queaking voice
  • Peek-A-Boo is starting to become fun
  • Sleeping through the night only happens on rare occasions ( but he has been sick with a cold and out of his routine so hopefully it will become more regular soon.;) )
  • Oh and my favorite new thing . . . He "coughs" now! It's not a real cough and he does it to get our attention. :)
  • Finally he is completely on Formula . . . Sadly :(. After His stint in the hospital, my supply diminished rapidly and I was unable to get it back. I am a little sad about it but he sure does like his bottles now!

I haven't measured or weighed him lately but I can definitely tell he has grown and gained weight especially since we started the formula.

Cookie Exchange

Before Christmas, a friend of mine, Anastasia, hosted a cookie exchange. Everyone that attended worked for Target, my previous employer. It was a lot of fun and really nice to see all those ladies.

Danielle and Logan obviously coordinated on their outfits!
:)
So cute!
