OC Zoo

The boys and I spent a morning at the OC Zoo with our good friends' Melissa and Kenley. It is a nice, small zoo perfect for little ones and it has playgrounds and picnic areas all around it perfect for making the day of it.

Officially a "Soccer Mom"

Logan started soccer this month with the YMCA and it is his first real organized team to be on. I am so excited for him! I know that I clearly am more excited than he is right now and that I am going to have to constantly "check" myself that I am not pushing him to hard. He is only 3 (remember :) ) That was more for me . . .Lol. But in all reality, he is very excited to be on the Orange team with one of his best buds from preschool, Griffin. He also has taken a great interest in practicing his "moves" he says nearly every afternoon outside. It has been fun to watch him learn the game a little and the idea of a team. I am pretty sure his other favorite part is the snack at the end too!
Our Flaming Tigers are just too cute!

Randoms

So not much new to report on the home front these days, just a few pics to post.
The boys had an extra fun night in the bath with colored water, bubbles, and bath paints. It was a definite hit but I think they both came out looking like raisins because they were in there so long! :)
I swear this child has music in his future. He turns everything into a drum set these days. Oh and yes he is wearing Dad's belt. Goofy kid!
Logan has always been my child that has to fight sleep EVERY night. Typically we find him laying in this exact spot waiting for one of us to come back upstairs to check on him. Usually scares the bageebers out of us to find him. :) Not this night though . . . He wasn't tire though ;)
Jordy wanted to be wrapped up like a baby . . . too funny because he actually stayed like that for a few minutes.

Baby "Tigger" is on it's way!

I know this is probably old news for most but Baby "Tigger" as Logan has so nicely named is due to arrive July 5th, 2013. We are so excited for this new arrival and I am sooooo excited to be moving into the second tri. This has definitely been the hardest first trimester I have had. Not sure if it is just because I am older and chasing around a 2 and 3 year old or if it really is harder. But I can tell you week 14 couldn't come soon enough :) Jordy doesn't quite understand that Mommy has a baby in her tummy but Logan is very excited about the baby. He is always wanting to know how big it is now and loves to give the baby kisses. We are scheduled to find out the sex of this baby on Valentines Day!! It will be a fun surprise so stay tuned!!!

Christmas 2012

Grandma and Papa Stanzel joined us for a California Christmas this year. Thank you for coming!! It was a wonderful Christmas with you.
Christmas Eve pic with Grandma and Papa
Family Picture
Mikey our Elf has been with us since Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas Eve was his last day at our house for 2012. The boys really loved having him here and Logan was quite upset when he realized that Mikey had to go back to the North Pole until next year.
Santa definitely made his way our house and even left a cookie from his plate for Logan. Lol! Logan REALLY wanted Santa to share his cookies with him!
The beginning of opening presents
Thank you Wright cousins for these AWESOME K-State uniforms. They are a huge hit!
"Let the pizza making begin!" These were definitely some of his best!(Although I say that every year it seems :) )
The day after Christmas we went to the San Diego Zoo for their night time activities. We all had a great time riding the Christmas trolley and seeing the very active animals. Night time is definitely a great time to go to the zoo.
Great Italian restaurant that we will have to remember(hence the picture)this time. Jeremy and my Dad managed to find this place after not eating there for 6 years and just remember the general area of it. Not to shabby!
My Grandma Delta always made an Angel Food Cake for Baby Jesus and we are continuing that tradition in our house. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and the boys blew out the candle. LOVE family traditions!

More Family Fun

Some more family activities during our long weekend with Jeremy included making cookies, spending a morning at "Sky High" trampoline gym, and looking at Christmas lights.
Logan still loves helping me in the kitchen. We were making my family's traditional spritz cookies. Pretty sure he managed to eat half the batter on that first batch. :)
Mastering his sprinkle skills
Not sure who had more fun at this place, the boys or us??
Logan was attempting to run up the wall
Check this guy out!!!
Even this Mamma got a little air! Soooo fun!
Looking at Christmas lights at one of our favorite spots "Candy Cane Lane" where nearly every house on the street creates full yard shows and instead of driving you walk.

Lego Land Family Fun

A week or so before Christmas Jeremy took a couple days off to make a long weekend and we filled it up by doing some fun family things. Our first stop was Lego Land!. The day was great because it was a little on the chilly side (not bad) and that meant there weren't many people there. We rode most rides without waiting. It was really a fun day!
Logan and Jeremy riding the rollercoaster!
Jordy loved picking his car . . .We rode this one a few times!
Jeremy in the jailhouse . . .LOL
The boys got to meet Lego Santa
The best part of Lego Land this trip was the winter wonderland. A California kid's winter play area(but not for long ;))
Pretty certain sledding will be in these boys' futures! They LOVED it!
After our day at Lego Land we headed home to have a "family movie night" watching "Polar Express". We printed out our own tickets and everything. I don't think Logan will ever let us watch this movie again without having our own tickets too. That was definitely a hit.
A pretty perfect family day in my book
