Sledding

In early January we got just enough snow to go sledding. It was bitterly cold but we had cabin fever and the kids had never been sledding before so we went. They LOVED it! We lasted about an hour and if it would have been warmer we would have been there all afternoon.

Christmas 2014

Christmas Morning, we opened presents at our house. My parents joined us that morning to open. Later in the afternoon, Grandma Cindy and Papa Bert arrived to spend a few days with us. It was absolutely wonderful to be in Omaha for Christmas. It was nice to relax with our families and play plenty of games and eat way too much!

Jordy took this picture of Grandma Cindy. I just thought it was a great pic

More Games!
Jeremy and Cindy canned some pickles while she was here. This was something Jeremy remembered doing as a kid and enjoyed so they did it here. It is a process but it was fun to watch. And there is the final product!

Christmas Eve 2014

Mikey our Elf made his last appearance on Christmas Eve. He left the kids a letter and some reindeer food to feed Santa's reindeer. All three of the kids loved finding Mikey each morning, but Logan especially could not wait every morning (way to early)to find him. Good thing Mikey found his way back to our house in time ;). Christmas Eve was spent going to church, then over to my Aunt Ginny's for a bit, and then back to our house to prepare for Santa's arrival and playing games.
Mikey left the kids "Good Deeds" to do each day. This became our "Good Deed Tree" throughout Advent.

Logan's Christmas Program

Logan had his Christmas Program the day after Jordy. In Logan's class all the students were different parts of the Nativity. Logan was "Joseph"! He did great and really loved doing the performance. It was fun to watch.

Jordy's Christmas Program

Jordy had his Christmas Program in mid December. He loved being part of the show and really got into it. He was a great little angel!

Santa Sightings

Over the Holiday Season the kids got to see Santa or Santa's helpers as we call them several times. We spotted Santa at Scheels Sporting Goods one afternoon. We also found him at Hy-Vee for breakfast, and then again at our Gym. The kids loved getting to see him!
