San Diego Zoo

On Monday we headed to the San Diego Zoo! It was a bit chilly but we still had a great time and the boys loved it.

The rhinos were AWESOME! I think they might have been my favorite because they were playing with each other and rough housing.

Sea World

On Sunday, Jordy and I flew in to San Diego and met Jeremy and Logan and Grandma and Papa Wright. We then headed to Sea World to meet Jon, Katie, Jaxon, and Jace, as well as the Meschke family who joined them for the vacation. We had 6 little boys under 4 to keep happy, fed, under control. Surprisingly the day went very smooth and we had a great time!

This past weekend we had most of Jeremy's family fly in for a week long family vacation. However my very good friend was getting married on Saturday back in Omaha and I just couldn't not be there. So Jordy and I pack up and got there late Friday night and left very early Sunday morning to make it back for Sea World in San Diego with the family.

Commitment Letter to My boys

A good friend of mine recently wrote these beautiful words to her children and I loved them so much that I wanted to say them to my own children. It seemed as if she took these words right from my own heart. So in honor of Mothers Day, here is my commitment letter to my babies.

Dear Logan and Jordy

Today I commit my life to the Lord first so that you will know how much you are loved. That you will always know that as much as I love you, Jesus loves you more. I don't understand it, but He gave His life to prove it. I owe it to you to "acknowledge Him in all my ways" Proverbs 3:6 so that I may be the mother you need to ultimately live a life for His purpose. That you may live a life that will radically change those around you. I pray that I can raise you with the confidence to go to the ends of the earth and proclaim the gospel. To have a confidence that I have always dreamed of. I pray that your boldness is undeniable, but your heart is full of compassion. I am committing today,to love you, even when you don't love me back. To always pray for you. To pray for your future friends and spouses. I am committed to loving you so much that I will say no, even if all the moms are saying yes. I am committed to not being the cool mom, but the mom who cares more about your well being. I am committed to losing sleep, so that I can pray for you when you need it most. I commit my time and desires to be for your well being. I am committing that you will always know your value in my life. I am committed to your father. Lastly, I am committing your lives back to the Lord. I know I will fail at these things everyday, but He never will fail you and I am committed to teaching you that.

Jordy is 6 Months Old!

Jordy turned 6 months old yesterday! He is doing fabulous and letting his personality show through more and more each day.

When Logan saw that I was taking pictures of Jordy he quickly rushed over saying "piture, piture" and wanted in on the action. He climbed up onto the chair and eagerly posed with his brother. This was definitely the first for that!

I just love this!

Some things he is doing now:

• He is giggling a lot (as you will see in the video below)
• He is eating solids of all kinds in the second stage but is not a huge fan of the veggies
  
• He reaches for the spoon when I am feeding him
• He, dare I say, is a terrible sleeper at this moment during the night. He is generally up about 4-5 times. Although I think a big reason for this is his reflux issues. We are working on it. :)
  
• He is wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes
• He LOVES baths and splashes around like a fish smiling and giggling
• He is rolling all over the place and manages to somehow get to the toy he wants
  

As for his measurements :

Height: 26.8in - 61%
Weight: 16lbs 10oz - 34%
Head Circumference: 42.3cm - 15%

Notice the way the video ends . . . Logan was having a "moment" but he got over it quickly. :)

Play Date Fun and My Gym

This week Logan and Jordy got to play with their buddies Maya and Ty! Ann and I took the kiddos for a nice long walk and then made our way to a local park. Jordy sat in the sand for the first time and swing. He loved it all!

Logan has been going to a Saturday morning gym class since February and he is absolutely loving it. Today I gently nudged him to go to the front of the class when the teacher asked for a volunteer to do a front roll and He slowly and cautiously walked up to her. He demonstrated it (with the teachers help of course) perfectly and was so proud of himself after. He had to run over to Dad and give him knuckles and a high five and then run to me to do the same. He has learned to follow direction pretty well through this class and has learned many new songs/dances. We love My Gym!

He has no fear to just jump into the ball pit. This took about 2 months to work up to.

Bunny Blast Weekend

This weekend we checked out Lake Forest's Bunny Blast Event. Logan LOVED it despite it being nap time and really warm. He has been talking about all the things we did all weekend.

This was hilarious . . . He actually LOVED the Easter Bunny but wouldn't look up. He just kept saying "raaabbeeeett" real quiet while he was on his lap. And he has been talking about him ever since.

As a result . . . He finished with 3 eggs!

He even rode a horse and absolutely loved it! He has been talking about it all weekend!
